Wife's birthday

There was a conversation we had while we were buying groceries .. paraphrasing it..

A : which brand of sauce should I take?
Me : you choose la, you always choose the best
A : why I must be the one to choose?
Me : look at me, am I the best choice you made?

She proceed to choose the brand she wanted

Here’s to a lifetime of lame jokes and endless love. Love you and happy birthday wifey  .. thank you for being you... and choosing me! Hehehe πŸ₯°

2nd anniversary

Over the years, marriage always reminds me about God’s love for humans. Maybe the world have diluted the meaning of marriage and people can say whatever they think about it but to me, it’s just a straightforward message - He still love us no matter how screw up we are. In His love, we learn how to love others (whether your loved ones, friends or strangers) despite the shortcomings we all have.

When you are in a relationship or married, i am sure you will slowly understand what I mean.

How time flies. Just like that, we are into our second anniversary.

Sometimes it feels it’s more than two years, sometimes it feels as though our wedding was yesterday. Well, maybe love makes us forget about time.

This year is slightly difficult to have an elaborate celebration because so many things happening around us. I guess we have everyday and a lifetime ahead to celebrate. In fact, everyday with each other is a celebration itself.

My wife is amazing for being patience with my emotions, stresses and puns. Thank you for loving me and supporting me in everything. There’s a lot ahead for us and I am sure we can make it through together.

Love you Audrey Chan

#TL2018moviewatch : DP2

What a time to be a Marvel fan. 2 straight awesome Marvel movies (even though they are technically still different studios).

DP2 is fun fun fun all the way. Ryan Reynolds is having a blast being Deadpool. In the midst of jokes and fun, gotta credit the way the story was written. It was well done, consider Deadpool is a not-so-serious character.

Not surprise that a lot of fans already said this is better than Infinity War. Then again, it's tough call for me personally, because both movies are fun in its own way. You know.. comparing orange with apple?

Lots of Easter eggs and pop culture references, which some would need you to be eagle-eyed to catch it.

And the mid-credit scenes probably the best that any Marvel-kind of movies that has done.

Btw, don’t bring your kids to watch this movie. It’s Deadpool, ok?

Meanwhile, their marketing side have been crazy. It's fun all the way too.

Even MU gets tied-in too. That's what happen you make a deal with Fox studios.

RATING : 9/10

14 feb

I know everyone have their ideas on this day. Whether you are in relationship or not.

And it's true that you don't need just a particular day to show your love. It should be everyday.

But anyway, mine was pretty much simple but I make it the best for my wife. She loves surprises and special things so ya, we celebrate it like any other days we would celebrate our love.

A post shared by Tim Lim (@timlim12) on

We ate at Las Carretas USJ. Even though there's a lot of people and clearly it got the restaurant personnel busy (be it waiter/waiteress, cooks, manager), we enjoyed the food and environment.

Well, at the end of the day, she always deserves the best =)

So folks...

No matter who you are, what you been through, what's your status like... be assured God has the best for YOU! =)

And treasure people around you. Whether your family or friends.

6 days away

last weekend as a "single" man. It was stressful, not because wedding preparation but by ministry actually. I guess it's all warming up in case of anything.

Last weekend before we "upgrade" to "married" status. Yes, our tired faces tells it all, isn't it. But we are treasuring the journey so far.
Anyway, I am trying to be relaxed even though there's a lot coming up. It's all good yo.

countdown : 6 days.

countdown to wedding - 4 months and 5 days

To who may concern..

I kinda figured this warrant a blog post instead of a simple update on social media. I think a lot of people kinda asking how is our wedding preparation.

Quick answer : generally, so far alright. Far from perfect but we managed get the ball rolling on a lot of things.

Since she moved over from KK, we have been busy doing researching together and shopping. We been going literally everywhere in KL to look at suits, decorations and everything may concern the wedding.

It has been honestly very tiring because I have to sacrifice my day off and my rest-time to settle all these things. The travels, the cost, the disappointment (at times). For me, it's a small price to pay to prepare for a lifetime event. The satisfaction on her face when progress is done is always priceless sight. At the same time, I am trying to juggle everything that concerns me to the best that I can. Not perfect but we are getting there. There are other details to look into but we are getting there.

So yea.. not that perfect yet but we manage to get a lot of things done. Guestlist pretty much sorted out, we have look around for the "perfect" dress, materials for our decoration and I think I got my wedding suit sorted out. There are other minor details sorted out too.

I think the stress of preparation gets in my head at times because I admit I do get annoyed by people who pushed me off the edge by saying I am not doing anything (whether it is concerning my wedding or my ministry or other things).

But then, the grace of God always calms me downs and made me just move on with life because there are bigger things in life to worry than words of people. Whether these words are out of love or not, I let God decide. Well, that is me who thinks life is simple. In fact, sometimes life can be simple. It's us who always make it complicated. Unfortunately most of the time.

Or maybe if you judge by what you see (in person or social media) then you are missing a bigger picture. The thing is this, no one really knows how much one is going through. There is so much tears and joy were involved. I never asked for anyone to take pity on me (or us) but some sense of understanding makes a difference. It doesn't have to be words sometimes, it can be simple action.

But I want to thank those who came out and offered to help us. There's a person who offered to sponsor my cakes and desserts which I am so grateful for. Mum recently offered to give me a few kitchen things for free. Simple things like these does make a difference to both me and Audrey. Even some of you came up to us and offered to help. Sometimes I wondered what help I can asked from you.... maybe closer to time, we will see. There's a lot on the plate, so time can only tell. Most importantly at this point, prayers and some understanding is very helpful.

So there goes my idea of simple wedding. Once you factor in a lot of things, I guess that idea of simplicity is out of the window. hahaha.

One of the advice we got is to enjoy the whole process and I think I can speak on her behalf that we are actually enjoying it despite the struggles. We both know that it's never going to be easy but we will make it. It's a learning process which only both of us have to go through. However, we never lose hope on God who is greater than anything and we always trust that He provides. Whether in material or spiritual matters.

There. Some updates. But really, we are excited just as much as you are.

Cheers and much love.

happy valentine's day

My dear fiancee came for a few days in KL so we can spend some time together. Moreover, Valentine's day was around the corner =)

Looking forward to spend my future with you. It's up and down but God has been blessing us and seeing us through

Thanks Shirley and GroundEatery for the venue for our Valentine's Day dinner. We had a wonderful time there.

That being said, we are busy planning for our wedding. Planning for ministry is one thing, but planning for wedding is much a bigger challenge. Keep us in prayer as we journey together.
