July is the month that I would take to celebrate the anniversary of 2nd album release 

One of the popular songs of the album and arguably, out of my gig setlist is COMPASS. It’s song about looking for direction in life. We all do, all the time. As we look forward and upwards towards heaven, may we all able to find meaning in our lives. This video was recorded at Folk Koffi back in April.

Fun fact of this song :-
originally a country song, there are four versions of the Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz-written song “When You Say Nothing At All” that were hits. The first to record it was Keith Whitley in 1988.

The songwriters came up with the lyrics after they were trying to write a song, but couldn’t come up with anything.

Overstreet said “as we tried find another way to say nothing, we came up with a song”

This song became well-known to many, thanks to Ronan Keating who sang this song for Notting Hill movie, and it’s the song which catapulted his solo career.

12th anniversary of THE DAY AFTER

𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐦 (titled THE DAY AFTER)’𝐬 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘

A lot of people told me that COMPASS is among their favourite Tim Lim song.

This is a footage, taken 12 years ago when we dropped by at Kota Kinabalu to perform (and promote) my 2nd album.

Grateful that I got to do this with @gracy_yong , @joannevun90 , @yappzai and @loguitarist — truly champions as always.

As I celebrated my new release, Sunshine (19/7).. I am also thankful for all the support that everyone has given to the 2nd album, eversince its release 12 years ago. It opened doors for me and also, allowed me to continue writing songs after songs over the years. For that, I am forever grateful to all of you.

THE DAY AFTER is based on the thoughts that there’s second chance, moving on from difficult times, or problems. It means there is hope for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be better than today.

May the songs from my 2nd album reminds you about such hope. Cheers.
