The sequel lacks the intensity and fun than the first one. 1st half of it was draggy, but 2nd half got slightly better. To be honest, my expectation was to see more kaiju v jaegar action but it wasn't as much as I thought it will be. So kinda disappointed by it.
The movie draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese tokusatsu-feel, so I actually struggle to make sense of its slow pace storyline.
On the bright side, alright, the Jaegars looks brilliant onscreen. Kaiju too. BUT they are my biggest disappointment because it is their fight that made the first movie very well-received.
Disappointed. Aih.
