#TL2018moviewatch : Ready Player One

When the first trailer came out, there's so much hype about it.

And yes, it's a movie that captures every gamer or pop geeks' imagination.

Visually stunning and groundbreaking stuff. It feels like watching a long gameplay but they had a good balance scenes of reality and VR. Then, factor in the storyline - another great storytelling stuff. They did well to balance the pacing while jumping from back and forth between reality and VR.

All the pop culture Easter eggs are just screaming for you to find them.

Props to Steven Spielberg for balancing all the themes in one movie.

It's quite a long movie - close to 2 hours and 20minutes but thanks to the stunning visuals, it keeps you awake in looking out for the details. Or even looking for the Easter eggs, probably that keeps occupied so you probably won't feel the length or even feel any flaws? Yea, it's hard for me to recall any because I been busy trying to be awe of everything being squeeze into the film. My wife spotted one but that is just one of those debatable flaws. hahaha.

It's probably one of those film you wish to watch again and again, probably more for the visuals and spotting Easter eggs. Then again, the smooth transition between the stories and visuals shouldn't hinder you if ever you decide to watch it again.

Rating : 8.8/10
