building a house for God

Erm.. where can I begin to blog about last weekend?

Any so-called “faithful” readers from FCC(ahem) will know last weekend was the consecration service of the new building.

My journey towards the preparation for the event was a challenge to me..sometimes I ask God why I m in “such position”..i remember having to attend a few meetings with the church committee on the consecration service..like as though all the group discussions in Uni is not enough for me uh..haha..then planning the worship team..etc..plus, you add in the FCC concert preparation..

I be honest past few days was a challenge to me emotionally. I have to deal with some tiredness which sometimes resulting procrastination. Patience as well coz a lot of things bugging me and certain things in my life were messy. My grandma also entered hospital and I visited her on Sunday to see if she was alright. I was worried actually coz I m the eldest grandson to her and naturally she is close to me.

Thank God for alot of understanding and great people around me. Family and frens.

I remember before the consecration service started, I was in the same room with all the wardens and pastors and bishop. I was asking myself that time, “God, why you place me in here for? Why this responsibility came to me?
Indeed God’s peace was awesome. Even the wardens, pastors and bishop were very encouraging. I begin to thank God for how far He has guided me thru-out the past few years.

The new building reminded me so much about celebrating God’s faithfulness. Indeed He has been faithful to FCC, from its humble beginnings of a simple cell group for the East Malaysians to a big church in Sunway. At the same time, I know He has been faithful to many people in the church as well. Myself included. To think how He guided me from my life in Ipoh to where I m now, I would say it’s been a crazy journey.

I like one part that Bishop mention..even though Abraham may not know how his life will turnout to be, he trusted God. I starting to trust God in that manner these past few months..n tell you what, the journey was crazy..and it will be for the next few years down the road..

Weekend was a life experience like no other. I could blog more actually. haha. I was reminded constantly of God’s faithfulness and blessing. From the practices to Saturday service and to the consecration service itself.

I be honest to say that I cant wait for Wednesday. We gave a preview to those who were hanging out in the hall after the consecration service. lol. It’s really not our intention coz we thought we can have the whole hall to ourselves to practice. Haha.

But seriously, I m excited about Wednesday. Nuff said. Again I gonna trust Him for that nite.

Continue to uphold me and the people involved this Wednesday in prayer.

Lotsa pics from Sunday. Will upload somewhere..well..ahem, Friendster n Facebook.

Gavin..late at nite..posing like a scarecrow there..lol..
