Selangor state Christmas celebration
When me and my wife got home, she said today's event reminded her so much of Gaya Christmas at Kota Kinabalu.
My heart felt warmth. I always prayed that someday people at West Malaysia can experience what I experience at KK (during Gaya Christmas) here. Many years later, it seems like my prayers are answered.
Honestly, I agreed with her, everything about it somehow reminds me so much of Gaya Christmas.
Moreover, to be part of it even makes it better.
Honestly, today was tough for me because my throat wasn't on 100 percent. I also prayed, "God, please let my voice to last 10mins so I can lead the team". Somehow, it survived through it.
Everything turned out well. Love the vibes, love the crowd who clapped and sung with us. Enjoyed the atmosphere throughout the evening.
Thank you, fellow FCC people who came and support us.
As the song we sung goes.. Glory to God in the highest!
p.s. Time to get myself some famous pei pa koa....

Lego Optimus
In light of
the release of the latest Transformers movie.. and discovering that the
franchise turned 40 years old this week (conjunction with the airing of
the first ever episode of TF G1).. sharing the look of my Lego Optimus
Prime.
It was my birthday gift this year, thanks to wifey.
Managed to build it a few weeks ago. While it was fun and satisfying to
see it all come together, I have to cautiously move some parts of the
build to transform (from robot to truck) or else, some parts will come
out. 🙃
Anyway, as a Transformers fan, I am so glad to have this build. Wishlist ticked.
Yup, time to ... 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑢𝑡!!

Happy 30 years, FCC
When FCC turned 25, I wrote a reflection. 5 years on, I honestly never thought that I will be still around, to write another reflection as FCC turned 30
Let me add a bit more story when I first came to KL. On my first day of my first week in campus life, Jonathan Tse and Eric Ling called me for yamcha. I was staying at PJ at that time, so they drove me all the way to Subang and I remember the mamak we went to -- ss12 Taj Curry house. I remember meeting Kevin Boey, Theodore for the first time. On the way when they were about to send me home, Jonathan asked if I wanna see FCC. Of course I said yes, why not.
Honestly, coming to KL, I have this naive impression that all the KL churches are big buildings so when Eric and Jon turned to Mentari and showed me that FCC was in a shoplot, honestly I was speechless. hahahaha.
Many years on, we have a proper building la.
But a church is always more than a building. It's the people.
I met a lot of wonderful people here -- some became good friends, one became my wife, some went on to do awesome things. All of you have journeyed with me through ups and downs. It's been a privilege to be on this journey with you all and t
hank you to everyone at FCC (past & present) for
accepting this Ipoh Mali fella as part of your family and history despite my imperfections.
Pretty much that sums up 30 years of FCC. There were challenges & naysayers, but there's God's grace and blessings which kept FCC going on. All because the vision is clear :- to share the Gospel and touch lives.
Certainly it's one thing that will continue to keep us going on, in years to come.
I only have experienced probably 60% of those 30 years. If there's any lessons that I learnt from all testimonies/stories of FCC people over the years, especially those who have journeyed longer than me, is the reminder of God's faithfulness and grace.
As I was typing this down, Psalms 127:1 came to mind -- "Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the
LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain".
I just gonna repeat my ending note 5 years ago by saying -- What’s ahead is all up to God and I can only trust that He has His best
for all of us - both individually and FCC in general.

finally MACP
Officially and legitimately recognized as Malaysian songwriter.
After
much procrastination and delay on my side, over the years, to finally
have my hands on it is a huge relief for me and a blessing too.

MALAYSIA GEMILANG on BERNAMA
Isn’t it full circle? Sort of.
When I was studying in Uni, I did my internship at BERNAMA. Years later, the song that I co-wrote is on national TV.
Personally still feel humble that I get to be part of this. Thank You God for His blessings
