journals of the KK recording - 5th april till 8th april

5th April -
430pm - Left home for LCCT. On the way there, realized that there's the Sepang F1 going on.. which means it's going to be jam when going to airport..aiks..
530pm - So ya, my worry became a reality. It was quite jam but still moving. Can hear the F1 cars from the distant actually and it sounded as though there were X-Wings and TIE fighters from Star Wars movie flying over me. haha.
735pm - Suppose to leave but 720pm but 15minutes delay. Left LCCT at 8pm
1045pm - Arrived at KK and welcomed by Jonathan Tse.
1115pm - Arrived at Refuge Studio. Yes, a first look at the studio for me. Discuss a bit on the recordings and helped Jon to setup his stuff that i helped him to bring over.
115am - Sleep. I have an awesome spot to sleep...inside the editing room itself. haha.

6th April -
845am - Wokeup. Devotion. Quiet time. Ya, even when i m in KK and doing recording, have to be discipline in reading word of God. ^^

920am - Breakfast..
1020am - Well, there are 6 more tracks to record for the album so we record the first of the six songs. This particular track wasn't an easy track to record, in terms of vocal-wise..but thank God for wisdom and patience as we record this song. Played with voicing and all.
120pm - Break from recording. Watched John Mayer's concert..his skill is crazily insane. I think if I have his skill, i think i could have Jennifer Aniston as well...haha..
320pm - Followed Jon to 1 Borneo to meet his mum. Gee, these days i realize i been meeting people's parents..actually it is a good thing when you think about it. Had our, well, super duper late lunch that time..at Chicken Rice Shop. The meal changed my preception on Chicken Rice Shop because last time, i didnt enjoy eating it..this time, feel tasty but then again, maybe we were hungry...

5pm - At CityMall. Hangout at Starbucks..Jon's fave spot...
620pm - Begin work on another track which again, was challenging track to record. But all is good, because I and Jon have this same idea that we record these two challenging songs first before the remaining ones..
820pm - Dinner.
1020pm - Final touches to the two songs we did earlier. Turnout good despite all the challenges in recording it through out the day..so ya..recording songs need patience and perseverance..

7th April

930am - Breakfast..this is what i had..
1120am - Recording again. Jun Jun and his friend dropby at the studio..
1pm - Lunch nearby..
120pm - Followed Jon to do some shopping.
220pm - Rest. Free Time. Nap.
720pm - Record another track. This time, this track is easily the fastest and the easiest track we have done and it sounds simple and nice.
820pm - Was at All Saints' awhile with Jon to pick Jun Jun, Ivy and Jon's Alpha course friend, Ben.

920pm - Dinner at Jesselton Point.
1145pm - Begin recording again. Recorded a really nice track..the best that i have recorded so far for this album..
130am - End of day..head to the bed...

8th April
10am - Breakfast with Jun and Jon..
1120am - Begin recording for the last track on the album.

120pm - Ladies and gentlemen, the album recording is done!! ^^
320pm - Laze around. Nap. Free time
400pm - Heavy rain..was beginning to worry if my flight would be delayed..
440pm - Bye Bye Refuge Studio and heading to airport..
5pm - Check-in

630pm - Left KK for KL
900pm - Reach LCCT
930pm - Lai Kang fetched me using my batmobile.
10pm - Dropby awhile at FCC to see the Good Friday preparation
1030pm - Late dinner with Lai Kang at McD
1130pm - Home sweet home.

Realized that...
* I been eating lotsa mee here in KK. Pork mee...tuaran mee...tasty! ^^
* Recording is not as easy as people think. Moreover..coming out with an album, being an artist is actually not a glamour thing..there is a sense of responsibilty to it actually and challenges along the way.
* It always rained whenever i come KK..mmm..

Overall, I thank God for His hands upon my life and this journey..and for now, i pretty excited about the album and cant wait for the world to hear it..some tracks are done pretty awesome..

Thanks for the support and prayers from all the peeps, no matter where you are from. Special mention to Jonathan Tse, your guidance and help through out this journey has been really a great education to me..
