FRIDAY 9th January - finally, the day has come. The Vine Band's first stop for their Asia Tour which is at FCC.
Blogging from my perspective. Since Thursday, i was busy making sure all is settled. Friday morning, waited for the amps to arrived and other minor stuff.
At 1240pm, a team comprising of me, Danny, Rick, Gavin and Wayne went to KLIA to pick the band. Upon fetching them, we head straight back to church for lunch for them. From there onwards, some of them took some rest while some already started their setup.

5pm - Official time for The Vine Band to do their soundcheck. At 630pm, our own church band's turn to soundcheck.
We started the night with my own church band singing 4 songs to get the crowd warm up for worship. It was good, i had fun actually. It is surreal to be able to sing my own composed song for the first time in public.
Then they came on next, to do a 1 hour plus of worship. They sang their own songs and also some familiar songs.
Overall, it was a good night. Everything went well though the hall didnt overspilled as i at times feared. Just right and nice although i wish for more people turn up. But who cares, i think at the end of the day, it's not so much about achieving numbers but achieving the objective of having a great time of worship.
I remember meeting two guys who were totally newcomers and when ask them how they know about the concert, they said website. I duno church or the Vine's or Facebook but hey, the power of internet! haha..
It was fun hanging out with the Vine Band from noon till . Lovely bunch of people and fun to chat with. The Vine Band was very grateful for all the hospitality given and had a great time here even though they have quite a short time here.
Personally, it's been tough organizing it but it was a worthwhile experience. Though everything comes fast and sometimes i have to make crazy decisions, but all is worthwhile. Learning and the experience is all it counts. But it was fantastic to being opportunities like this and it was really God's will to do this because when i was young i always dream of doing stuff like this. At the same time, it was encouraging to be able to spend time with them especially with Tom, where from one worship leader to another worship leader, i very encouraged by his words and working together with him was awesome.
Hope it kickstart exciting times ahead.
Thank you everyone for the support, prayer and attending the concert.
All i can leak now is..there will be more concerts in later part of the year so look forward to it. More details will be spilled in couple of months aye.
