From 9th November till 12th November, I was at the heart of Sabah, i mean Kota Kinabalu for recording purposes and at the same time, vacation i guess..haha..
There was a slight delay on my flight so i left KL around 545pm. Jon Tse picked me up from KK airport and he took me for dinner at Damai...
Tuaran mee. Nice but little pricey..
Did work for 2nd song the whole night at Jon's home studio.

10th November -
I went breakfast with Jon and met this pastor named Colin Chong. Then later i realized he is the guy who sang IT IS YOU on Set Apart album. lol. Got some encouragement and advice from him..cool guy. Then dropby at All Saints to say hi to familiar faces like Sng, Winston, Jack Wong, Ps Soo Jean and JennyLiau.
Next destination, the RAM studio. Did some extra vocals on the 2nd song i worked on earlier night in this studio. Later on, followed Jon to meet this elder guy in SIB Skyline named Mr Foo. I respect this guy, at his age, he still can be passionate for God. It's hard to find old man like him who still on fire for God especially in music and youth ministry.
Met my former schoolmate Bernard Yap for dinner near Tanjung Aru. Had ducks for dinner. Then he told me for a walk at his church, Skyline which is in Sutera Harbour. After that, it was back to the home studio later on to work on another song.
11th November -
this part i would say it's like a vacation..Jon took me and another guy for island hopping..erm..not really..just explore one island only..an island called Mamutik. That trip reminds of my island hopping time few months ago in May during the HM pangkor camp. The island is beautiful.
Reach mainland at 2pm and walk around Warisan and also Kamunsing. The familiar place i walked before when i was previously here during the Sabah DYC camp. I walked until tired and i nearly doze off at Starbucks. haha.
Wanted to meet an old friend from Ipoh for dinner but didnt worked out. In the end, i went 1 Borneo with Bernard Yap. It's like Midvalley but walking in it feels like The Gardens..maybe because it's still new..
And so this is my dinner...
Madagascar 2 set...i enjoyed that double chicken meat and spicy fries...
Reach home 930pm and start working for another song the rest of the night.
Nov 12 - Wednesday
Most of the day was spend on touchup and adding extra stuff to all the song we recorded so far.
Before Jon leave me at airport, we minum at Tanjung Aru. Again, the same place I came before when i previously here, somemore it's the first place i visited once touched down in KK, thanks to Hirai. Had coconut..looking at the coconut reminded me of a story i and dore laughed about during our time in the camp..

Yet again, my flight was delayed..this time nearly an hour. Aihz, i was wondering why i didnt go for the earlier flight..maybe it was fully booked gua..
Thanks Victor for fetching me to and out from LCCT. Will thank you in the album :P jk jk..
I had McD because i want a fast meal as i m tired..so ta pau and eat at home..i reach home like 1220am. I slept around 3am after bath, resting, unpack. Tiring.
As I look back, i believe God was in control and His timing is really amazing. I admit as days draw closer to my trip to KK, there were few times i ask God and myself why i doing this wei..am i doing this rightly..questions after questions..even on Sunday noon before Victor fetched me and after i wokeup from nap, i still asking "God, why i do this la.." . After i sat in Vic's car and got encouragement from a few friends, i can sense God was in control and i learn to trust Him even more..
So yes, i can release some details about this solo project i m working on. I entitled it TL project at the time being and so far 4 songs have been recorded. It will be a 10 song album which means i will go back to KK again, most probably in April, to finish up the rest of the songs. Honestly this project has been on my mind for ages, and i been waiting for the right time to do it. I believe God is in control. At the same time, as the project progress and time passes by, the direction for the album has become clearer. At first i was tossing ideas around on what type of songs i should record and all. Slowly, the direction begin to reveil itself and yes, it will be a Christian pop-rock album. Think Lifehouse, Switchfoot, Jeremy Camp down the line. Abit of Reuben Morgan, Tim Hughes, Lincoln Brewster would do also.
Cant wait for the world to hear it. I've target around Sept to Nov 2009 to release it.
I might open another blogspot devoted only to my project but do watchout for this space here about it..other than that, i guess as time goes by, hopely you get to see more stuff about it from me..
I thank everyone who have encourage me so far in this journey, it's been heart warming and encoruaging actually because i know i cant do this alone and it is not an easy journey. Mind you, i m working this as an indie artist. People like Victor, Rick, the rest of the FS people, my collegues, my housemates, my family and some church people.
Most importantly thank You God for carrying on so far. It's been a crazy adventure so far..
As for this trip, again i would say God was in control. I admited lately all in my mind was work and work only..and i sometimes scare i get carried away by pressure and people..but i thank God for space to relax and really spend some time doing nothing..i mean sitdown and just reflect on God's word..and also set my focus back on track again. So ya, not just i get to finish some songs but also get myself refresh to continue my journey in this world..
So ya, that's all i want to say. The experience have been fantastic and i looking forward for the future..
