This blog is dedicated to those who is going thru some tough and rough moments..
Have you been walking on a surface that’s uncertain
Have you helped yourself to everything that’s empty again
You can’t live this way too long
There’s more than this, more than this
Have you been standing on your own feet too long
Have you been looking for a place where you belong
You can rest, You will find rest, You can rest, You will find rest
Let this old life crumble, let it fade
Let this new life offered, be your saving grace
Let this old life crumble, let it fade, let it fade
Have you been holding on to what this world has offered
Have you been giving in to all these masquerades
It will be gone, forever gone,
It will be gone, it will be gone
Let this old life crumble, let it fade
Let this new life offered, be your saving grace
Let this old life crumble, let it fade, let it fade
Are you carrying the weight too much, running from the call,
Let it fade
You can rest, You will find rest, You can rest, You will find rest
Let this old life crumble, let it fade
Let this new life offered, be your saving grace
Let this old life crumble, let it fade, let it fade
Have you been standing on your own feet too long?
Have you been looking for a place where you belong?
The song is entitled "let it fade" by Jeremy Camp, taken from his Beyond Measure album. Camp is one of my favourite CCM artist and i always find some of his songs inspiring.
Why i choose to share this song with you readers? Here's the story behind it..
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it says, 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.'
This is a song for anyone that is trying to hold on to the cares of this world. Unless we realize that through Christ we have all that we need, we’ll never understand the true grace and peace that He offers. Know that when you give your heart to Jesus, the past has been forgiven and we have been given the fullness of new life. -- Jeremy Camp
While the story behind the MV..directed by a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association crew Kevin Adamson..
"I wanted to tell the story of a woman who was struggling with more than a single issue and not one specific sin," says Adamson. "It shows her life without God, almost like she strayed away from the Lord." He decided to illustrate this woman's sins and struggles by using 1,500 to 2,000 Polaroids. "There are all these past experiences that she can't run away from," he explains. "No matter what she does, she can't get rid of them." The whole time, her grandmother is praying for her. Eventually, the woman realizes she needs to make a decision on her own to surrender to Christ. That's when her past life "fades away."
