Meeting Ah Long and L ...

Past few days I watched this two movies with a bunch of FCC folks..

First-up..

I watched this Singaporean movie along with a group of folks from FCC after Saturday Service. The movie was 9.20pm..we left church around 8.40pm..go round n round for parking..so do the math and see how rush we were..oh yea..add in our dinner at McD..well..they dun call them fast food for nothing..we literally eat so fast..

I always enjoyed Jack Neo’s movie(His previous movies:i not stupid 1 & 2, just follow law). This one is as enjoyable as his previous works.

My only doubt was the lesson from the movie. Usually the message in Jack Neo’s movie would be clear and touching. But this movie, I didn’t get it clearly. If it’s about family, well, it wasn’t that depth enough. If it is something else, well, maybe i didnt get it clearly.

You will realize the movie was entirely done here in Malaysia. The streets will look familiar to you when you watch them.

Next-up...

Watched this on Weds nite. I guess you all remember that I review Death Note few weeks ago. Now here's a spinoff about L.

Basically it is about L who spend his last 23 days solving a case.

Movie was interesting. It's amazing how some puzzles can be solved by him. There's even some scenes that take a dig at him..his habit of eating sweet stuff and being hunchback.

I start to amazed about japanese entertainment scene. there bound to be ideas and creative stuff from there. With that, this generate lotsa business income and even job opportunities there.

Think about what comes from them...Jap soapdramas, Jap movies, anime.. to produce all those, you need a big crew from actors to people behind the camera(editors, animators, cameraman, etc). In short, i would say they have an interesting industry there.

Anyway i watched L for RM 6. Making it worth so much. lol.

Watching both Asian films made me realize how good Asians can be these days. You can say they improve alot and always provide interesting stories. Be it horror, comedy, action, etc ..Asian films still can be in contention with the rest of the world. I m not trying to patrotic or what..but i think some would argee on that.

Overall..i enjoyed both movies. Both were fun and interesting.
