Exam-ing and the Monkey King...

after nearly a week of silence, I m back blogging …

I had my final exam so that explains my silence. Took so much of my brain juice, making me lack of inspiration to type something here for the past one week.

Exams been ok for me. I remember there was one paper I wrote for 3 hours straight till my hand suffered. Serious.

I m already half way thru my exams…after today, I have to wait one more week for the very last paper. Sometimes i wish i finish it this week. I can imagine how crazy all of us will be after that. Think about the times when you finished your very last paper of SPM or STPM, you will know it. haha.

During the weekend, I watched Forbidden Kingdom with my gf, Mike and his sister and C Hing…

It was a nice film but what makes me feel odd about watching this movie is that it feels like you are watching a Chinese show with English conversation. You know, after years of watching Chinese action films, where you are used to see characters converse with each other in Chinese then all of the sudden you are watching something similar but the characters talk to each other in English..of course there were Chinese conversations in between in certain scenes..

The scene everyone looking forward to is the duel between Jet Li and Jackie Chan. One word : wow. It’s feel like you are watching the World Cup final. haha. To me, it’s one scene I will remember for the rest of my life. Probably it’s one of those classic moment in film history that everyone will talk about even after many years.

My verdict: remember you are watching a movie made by Hollywood for Hollywood…not a Chinese movie for Chinese. Apart of that, I wouldn’t say it’s the best but it’s a nice movie. The stunts and martial arts in there is amazing, especially when you get to see the two famous martial artist Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

In other life development, past few days I have been pre-packing my room to prepare for moving out. Will be in Ipoh for few days for West Diocese Worship Conference, bringing down 38 plus FCC worship team members there. Then once reach back KL few days later, will be moving to Subang Ville.
bah. dat's all folks.

I also felt the same thing. To compile elements from Drunken Masters, Bride With White Hair, Journey to the West, Crouching Tiger into a single show in English doesnt really excites me... =p
