Alright..here’s a look at my room that been hosting me for the past 2 years and so..
I stay at Millenium Court in PJ. Located at Jalan University, it is near University Malaya and the best landmark next to MC is a 24 hours drive-thru KFC.
MC is a private hostel..not tied to any Universities around. It has 4 blocks. A lot of things has changed over the past 2 years when I was here. From admin to etc etc. They have a few room rates..but I wont talk about them coz I dunwan to give them free promotion..haha..
Coz all I want to do today is talk about my room…
Btw..my room is a twin-sharing room..
Alrite..when you first enter..this is what you see. My bed is your left.
Obviously I m cheeky to take the side which is under the ceiling fan. Haha.
To me, twin sharing room is just alrite, judging by the size of the room. But to be truthful..if you are a person who stores lotsa things, twin sharing is not enough.
So if you turn around, this is how it looks like. Oh the cabinet, it’s one each, for myself and room-mate. Come to think about it, the cabinet isn’t enough to fit anyone who has a big wardrobe collection. The cabinet is too similar to those students’ locker you see on TV especially western shows.
A Kapok guitar. One of my cell group member was generous enough to lent me for the past 2 years. Actually it doesn’t really belong to her, coz my cell group member told me her friend left it for her to take care..so yea, I m entrusted to take care of it. Basically the guitar is to keep me musically entertained…practice my guitar skills…tryout songs…worshipping…and composing songs. Amazingly I haven’t broke any strings yet so I intend to keep the record clean before I returned it to my cell group member. I wonder if she stills remember she borrowed me the guitar..hehe..
The magical place for all your washup/cleanup.. haha..
And this is one thing that kept me company when I m lonely..help me in lotsa stuff..like entertained me in every way..games and watching movies..and it’s also my so-called recording studio..so yea, this is where I did the Jeremy song. Bought it nearly a year ago.
n yea..i love that wallpaper i m using..
My room is actually at the end of the block which faces the PJ town. So during nite time, it’s really a nice view to see all the lights. So yea, sometimes when I emo-ing, just step out of the door and look out to see all the city lights..sometimes peaceful and sometimes think a lot as I look out.
A lot of my friends still surpised that I still living here. Some of them lasted one semester then they moved out. To me, I just need a place to sleep, eat and s***.
Ok..the rates has shot up compare to when I first came here but since when things get cheaper..especially living in KL..
Obviously the room is so small that cooking cannot be done.
They used to provide free transport to Uni but recently it seems like no bus provided. So the option to UTAR is wait for UTAR’s own bus, or take public bus which is just at the doorstep of MC or take a 10-15 mins straight road walk to UTAR.
The pros is they provide free dobi..or did we pay along with the fee? Haha..
They have varieties of foods in the food court..from Mamak to Chinese to malay to western to even Arabian meal. Of coz if everyday you eat them, you tend to get bored..haha..
There is a convenient shop in hostel so dun need time to travel around…Obviously the tables, cabinet, bed is there when you come in. That is why my parents sent me here..not some houses in PJ..coz at that time, they dun want to spend more on buying me those stuff..we already cough out money to buy deposits for Uni and this hostel.
Overall, if you ask me, I would say it’s just ok la. If you are a person like me who just need a place to eat, sleep and s***..or you need a simple room..this is alrite la.
Anyway I plan to move out once I graduate..so around May 08.
