History Makers.

When first I embrace such name, I was thinking, ”Why name ourselves something so big?”

As time passes by, I realize is more than a cool name. Is more than some group of teenagers who hangout together.

Is a responsibility. Is a calling.

Growing up in St Peter’s Church Ipoh, I joined the English Youth fellowship when I was 12. I was supposed to be too young to join but I think I wanna grow up faster and (no offense) I find Blessed Kids too boring for me. haha.

10 years on, indeed within those years, I seen the ups and downs. In between that, there is where we change the name into HM. I seen 20 people attending a HM meeting and I have seen hundreds attending a HM meeting.

I seen how God moves. I seen how God remain so faithful to all of us.

People always talk about when it was our peak moment n the best moment..etc. etc. It can be a long debate. Well, each have their opinion..but no matter what, God is always there.

Here are some moments that always bring fond memories to me..


**HM camp 05
Why I picked this camp cause I felt it really a lot of impression on the people. And it was the camp that brought lotsa people in. I duno if I mention this before..recently when I clean my room in Ipoh, I found a sheet of printed papers that contain the testimonials of the Xanga bloggers about the camp. When I read it..it’s just unbelievable to think the camp made so much impression on them that they shared so much on their blogs. Their comments and testimonial are good, encouraging and fun..that is why I and my bro decide to document it.
Anyway it was a tiring camp for me..i m sure others feel the same way too..


**HM camp 06
Of all camps I have with HMers, I think I enjoyed this the most. For this camp, there were moments that blew my mind off..like..I never thought many came. When I was there, I was blown away by the raw passion of youths as well. I remember the first night of worship. When I asked,”are you ready to worship?”... man, it sent chills to my spine when the folks respond.I felt goosebumps. Is like the presence of God so clearly felt. As the worship goes, all I can say that time is “God is indeed here”..

I still have the videos of this camp and each time I view it, brings memories to me.

I remember Eric Ling telling me that what amazes him that time was the raw passion of the youths. And when I look at those videos, it testify that statement.

I can go on and on about it but I think it's a HM camp i remember the most as long as I live.


**HM 5th anniversary
I never forget last year’s anniversary. If there is an event that really brought the best out of HM, brought us together..it was this. I know everyone put their heart and mind into it. It was one amazing gathering. Is indeed a history making event. Anyone who was there that nite will never forget such event in their life. And I dun think anyone or anything can beat that.

Yea..again..I also have the videos..the orginal,the uncut. Yea, brings back memories watching them.

I have many fond memories with HM..but for now, that's the few i remember alot..

All i can say is over the years I learned what it means to be a History Maker..

I never believe HM is the best YF in Ipoh because I believe there is no perfect ministry. But I believe the calling of HM never change over the years..that is to make an impact in the community. I hope no matter what HM can still do its best as well.

People may come and go. But God’s will and calling never change.

Once a HM, always be a HM.

I always believe that everyone is called to be a History Maker..no matter who you are..

So happy anniversary guys..hope you guys will have an enjoyable one..
