I recently watched Evan Almighty.
What made me love the movie is the meaningful message.
I remember few years ago..someone gave me this phrase and it stuck to me like my life principle..
Funny enough it appear again when i watching Evan Almighty...
It was mentioned in a one scene of the movie when God(played by Morgan Freeman) spoke to Evan’s wife(played by Lauren Graham)…
If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?
It was nicely said. Sometimes we take things for granted, thinking whenever we ask God for something, it will be given to us on silver platter. Anyway, is a phrase/sentence worth pondering..
When i think about it, i know God works in wonderful ways..beyond our understanding. What an amazing God we have..!
