15 years on. My gratitude, my reflection.
🙇🏻♂️🫶
I
have done crazy things in my life, but releasing an album in my early
20s, without any huge financial backing and just being a novice in the
music industry... it's gotta be up on that list of crazy things.
Past
15 years have been a journey full of heartaches, brokenness,
encountering empty promises, hurts but also blessings, joy, success,
grace as well. I often felt misjudged, misunderstood and I lost count on
the days when I questioned myself for doing this, with lots of tears
and emotional struggles. Not many understand that a lot of creatives
have life and emotions beyond the stage.
However,
I am always grateful for the support given and the strength to pursue
this dream. Many lessons learnt, many situations that made me a better
person. There were networks and friendships made, built and
strengthened.
Fair to say, without this
dream or goal, or this gift of music, Tim Lim would not exist. Truth be
told, without everyone's support, I wouldn't be where I am today.
When I began this journey, my goal wasn't about making
millions and having all the fame of the world. My goal was to make music
that touches people's lives.
Every now and then, there are people coming up to me and
saying the songs touched their hearts. There were at least a few who
came up to me and said they are doing music because of my journey. For
that, I consider this worth more than gold.
Every year is an opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone. Your
love and support for the past 15 years have given me wings to fly to my
dreams and inspiration to continue to do music. Your name, your faces,
your cheers, your words will always be treasured by yours truly. Thank
you for allowing me to decorate time with music and putting stars in the
night skies.
I will keep dreaming, walking THIS ROAD that God has put me on.
I dedicate this instrumental piece that I created recently to all of you.
It's just a demo/trial version, and if you love it, I will probably continue to work on it and release it properly in future.
It is based on one of my favourite songs from the first album, Lost in Love/Amazing grace.

It's God's amazing grace that kept me going. It's your love that kept me believing.
Thank YOU for the past 15 years. Here's to more music in years and years to come.
Cheers.
