Kinda hope they will have some followup, since they ended the series with sorta setup for future.
Anyway, it's nice to see the characters of G1 and Beast Wars interacted.
On bigger picture, the trilogy has its ups and downs. While the animation and story is great, perhaps the voice acting was sore-thumb in the trilogy because using new voice actors that couldn't add extra dimension to the characters that they are playing. Yes, I am aware of the challenges that they faced but I still feel the voice-acting should have been better.
All in all, looking forward to more Transformers animation.
