The news that attracts me this morning was Disney buying Marvel up.
I m actually not really excited about it straight away but do wonder if it is a good investment. I do hope Disney does not screw the whole Marvel legacy...as they did to Power Rangers franchise.
Yes, most of you all do not know that currently Power Rangers is actually under Disney's hands. I think they bought it in the year 2002 and they change the franchise until so kiddy stuff...really total different feel than their Japanese coutnerpart, Super Sentai. Sometimes their action subsequence is too overexaggrating and storylines were so-so..till recently I see some improvement in it..i guess rightly so they took some action because it's was going downwards.
Thankfully, Mickey Mouse didnt turn up in any of those Power Rangers show..
Now with Marvel, I hope to see how Disney would take care of this franchise. Yes i know Marvel is indeed a big company which possibly bring in good income but i do hope Disney company know what they are doing.
Some said it would be like Disney/Pixar partnership but for me, that is quite a different level as Pixar deals with different genre and different target audience compared to Marvel.
Alas, let's see how all turnout to be..probably after 5 years we will see the outcome.
It's my personal opinion on this. But I think people around the world have better insights than me.
