DYAC 2009

Blogging this to say I m back from Sabah Diocesan Young Adults Camp, which was held in Awana Genting resort..

There were some parties who jokingly changed the D into Desperate Young Adults Camp..but Pastor Moses said the word is good in a way, if you are desperate to seek God, not something else..

I would say Awana is a nice place..

Love the food served in the coffee house..especially Breakfast and Dinner..

Since last weekend was busy, I finished settling the equipment packing(and help the fetching group) by 1am Monday morning. By the time i reach home, finalizing my own packing and onlining..it was 2am..then have to get up by 515am..so you can guess how much sleep I had..haha..

7am left church with the equipment with Jackson and Wilson to Genting. Stopped by at McD for breakfast and by the time reach Awana, it was 9am. Kinda surpised that the whole journey was fast..maybe due to traffic flow.

Anyway to cut the long story short, my first day was tiring. I was desperate that time anyway...for a good time of sleep! hahaha...

Worship sessions were good. Really enjoyed it all including those led by other worship leaders. Except Christina in the opening session, don't you all realized that all the worship leaders who went on stage (me, Eric Ling, Jonathan Tse) were all FCC-trained? haha..just a wild thought..

Monday I tried a really spiky hairstyle..if you can zoom that pic...and people didnt give me kind reviews..they thought I didnt have enough sleep or just wokeup...zzzz +.+

Sermons were good..

Overall, camp was enjoyable. It was refreshing one for me.

If me and my sound crew were the first to go, we were the last to leave. On the way down, got a lesson on how to drift and going down hill. Gee..no easy task!

Manage to get some lemang to eat. Long time didnt get to eat it..but my Chicken Redang was spicy..

Anyway, I just wanna thank Jackson Chin who actually work so hard with me to make sure the equipments and audio went well. Really thank him.. hardworking fella.
Not forgetting the worship team, I proud to lead them..for their patience and dedication..

Manage to meet some good people there especially from Sabah Diocese. The pastors are open to me going over for tour/gig and I m excited about it. Stay tuned for more info. As for the people, glad to spend some time with them.

As for pics, I didnt take much but go FB and see whoever post them there then..

The next Sabah Diocese event I would be involved is the Youth Camp in December. Really excited about it to meet youths there..I remembered all the fun I had last year..looking forward to this.

And thank you boss/pastor, who gave me half day rest today since busy working in the Raya holiday in the camp..

Cheers.
