quantum of solace

I was reading an article about the latest James Bond movie, and what interest me was how Daniel Craig, the person who plays Bond, explained what the title of the movie means..

"It's basically the moment of peace in yourself - if you can find your quantum of solace, it means you've figured out what life's about.." - Daniel Craig, James Bond

Sometimes i find it amusing to think whatever he explain doesnt really reflect on the bang bang boom action elements in the movie..what solace you can find in explosion wo..haha..

okok erm seriously, what mr Bond explained got me pondering actually. For those who wants to know what the word solace means, well, according to Oxford Dictionary, solace means comfort in distress. I feel sometimes we do need time to just put aside our busyness and the world to relax and put our focus right again.

Life has been challenging lately. There are days i realize i need time to just sitdown and relax, find my own quantum of solace where at the same time, think back what God has done in me and what He wants to speak to me. In short, the selah moment. 

Ya, to have some time to hear from God. Ponder on His promises. Trust Him more and more.
