coz Manchester United has won the Champions' League..!!
I m proud of them. After working so many years to win that trophy which they last won in 1999.

The match itself, to me, was so tight. It was like a game of chess. 1st half MU dominate then 2nd half, Chelsea boss around the field. I duno about those who watch, once it was fulltime at regular time, you know it could drag to penalties. True enough, the extra time fails to produce anything so we go to the lottery corner..penalty shootout.
I be honest to say once Cristiano Ronaldo miss that penalty, you know MU is in deep trouble. Even before Ronaldo takes the spotkick, somehow I got this feeling he will miss it..i think it's kinda written all over his face. Talk about hi-blood pressure! When Van der Sar save the last penalty from Anelka, as a football fan, you gotta feel sympatize for Chelsea skipper John Terry..he could have won the match for Chelsea but he slipped his kick. For a moment, the win was bittersweet for me as i m truly so glad MU finally won it but feel sorry for Terry who i think is a really good defender on his day.
Indeed it was a long match. Imagine folks in Asia stayed up the whole wee hours of the morning just to know who is the Champions' League winner. Well play i say to both team although there were ugly moments with players clashing with each other, resulted Drogba sent-off. It was a good sportmanship gesture from MU to form a guard of honor for Chelsea who take the runners'-up consolation. Truly if i m there too, i would honor the fighting spirit of Chelsea, especially John Terry.
After all said and done, it was a proud for me and any MU fans to see the team finally lift the Champions' league trophy(also known as the European Cup in olden days). I argee with anyone and even Sir Alex to say this team is one of the greatest in the MU history. Hope for more Euro trophy boys..!
Thus, MU football season of 2007/08 ends here. What a season it has been. Truly there were ups and downs. At the same time, Ronaldo was on the form of his life. Scoring 42 goals in a season and winning few personal trophies, like EPL footballer of the season. Apart from him, you gotta pay tribute to many other players who played their part as well. Vidic and Rio - rock hard defence. Scholes and Giggs - experience. Anderson, Owen Hargreaves, Carrick - the heart, the engine of the midfield. Rooney - the bulldog he is.
it will be interesting to see how next season unfolds. till then..

well, club football will take its backseat with Euro 2008 kicks off in June..
