Martin Smith

Despite my tight Saturday schedule, I decided to do a quick stop to hear him in person. This man, Martin Smith wrote well-known worship songs like “i could sing of your love”, “majesty”, “did you feel the mountains tremble?”. Legendary worship leader and songwriter. His band Delirious have inspired and shaped the modern worship music. I also love songs like “my glorious” and “rain down” 

Hearing him and watching him in person warms my heart. Like many in my generation (and before?), we grew up singing his songs. In fact, his song “history maker” was the song that put me on this path that I am on.

I’m amazed as well, that even at his age, he is still leading worship powerfully. I hope I can still do so when I am at his age. 

 

A bit disappointed that I unable to stay longer but seeing him doing what he does, in person, warms my heart
