A pleasant surprise-cum-start to my 2025
I was told few weeks ago that I will be given something and turns out to be an award for my contribution to the Malaysia Gemilang project (that I was involved in 2024), as the “most influential music work” (if that is what I was told through translation 😂)
I’ve never received any accolades for music and I don’t do music for the sake of awards or fame. I just wanna bring light to the world that we live in, so to receive this award is nice acknowledgement and encouragement to my music journey.
Glad to know as well that the song is well-received on local radio and YouTube.
Thank you @musicpreneurmalaysia , @serene_cheam @v.nee.37 and @ciyin.iamciyin for having me in this project and kudos to my fellow songwriters @jimathyjing @lemonchl for the teamwork.
Not forgetting my wife @audreychchan and people around me who have been supporting me for the longest of time.
Truly humbled and blessed by this. I guess it’s a nice encouragement to me, as I prep for another exciting year of music in 2025.
