Last week was really an interesting week of gigs. Frontera, W_are_house, Soundstruck. Grateful for the opportunity, grateful for every feedback, grateful for the people I met especially in making new acquaintances.

Sometimes this journey is so hard and many times i feel like quitting. Sometimes I am misjudged and misunderstood, which it sometimes hurts me. But I thank God, through the people I met and in my life, I am reminded that only He can open and close doors in my life. Never take anything for granted, never look down on the journey that God has led you. Keep the passion going.

Someone, during one of my recent gig, gave me a golden advice -- "disappointment and rejection can only make you stronger". Man, when I heard that, it just break me inside and I feel as though God is speaking to me.

Anyway, thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. Let's hustle on!

EFL champion 2017!

What a match.

MU win 3-2.

Before the match, Jacky Chu asked me about the odds of MU winning. I said 60-40. It's final, so anything can happen.

But really, what a match.

Credit to Southampton for fighting till the end.

To be honest, MU wasn't at their best. But the finishing class is something else. That's what sometimes set champions apart. That's football to you.

But Zlatan, man, what can I say about this fella. He really prove all doubters wrong. What a player, what a season he is having.

Like Mourinho said, there's more matches ahead. Can't rest on the laurels yet.

Meanwhile... let's bask in the glory. Manchester United have equaled Liverpool in most major trophy haul. More to come. >)

Frontera #23

Last night was a good warmup to Thursday and Friday gigs. Simple but wonderful.

And everyone there called me pastor. I am starting to get use to this already. Actually, it's a wonderful reminder that we are not just to be confined to 4 walls of the church but to live beyond it. Had an opportunity to share life with some people especially to an old American lady about life.

At the end of the day, I am just living and learning from Jesus' ministry 😃

Bishop Albert Vun once advised me to list out God's blessings daily so it can help us to be thankful to God. That's one of the reasons why i doing it.😊

I know everyone have their ideas on this day. Whether you are in relationship or not.

And it's true that you don't need just a particular day to show your love. It should be everyday.

But anyway, mine was pretty much simple but I make it the best for my wife. She loves surprises and special things so ya, we celebrate it like any other days we would celebrate our love.

We ate at Las Carretas USJ. Even though there's a lot of people and clearly it got the restaurant personnel busy (be it waiter/waiteress, cooks, manager), we enjoyed the food and environment.

Lego Batman

One of the movies I am waiting to catch in 2017.


After the runaway success of Lego movie, it is a matter of time that the Lego keeps building its success. Yea, pun intended.

Here's one -- Lego Batman. The Batman that featured so successfully in the Lego movie that he has his own spinoff like immediately.

And the marketing for him have been fun.



Back to the movie itself, it didn't fail to entertain. Lots of fun stuff to enjoy, from Easter eggs (about every Batman franchise) to even a short dig at Marvel (aiya, ok..) 

But gotta love how Lego "lego-nized" every DC characters (and even some familiar characters).

Plot is quite straight forward and like its predecessor, Lego movie, moral lesson is quite straight forward too. Like Lego. You need to stick to each other. Geddit, the pun? Ok i gotta stop with Lego puns.

I enjoyed and loved the jokes and humour in it. Pure fun, both for kids and adults.

RANTING : 9/10

return of xander cage

 

More of return of Vin Dinsel to the franchise.

I guess he is the reason that boost the popularity of this franchise.

Alongside him, he brings in some familiar faces that you perhaps have seen them somewhere. Eg : Donnie Yen, Nina Dobrev, Tony Jaa and even Neymar. And oh, a certain cameo.

And ohhh, how can you forget Samuel L. Jackson who these days seems to play roles that so familiar across any films. Loud and obnoxious recruiter.

If you are expecting action-packed movie, this movie did deliver that part. Vin Dinsel still can pull the punches somehow. Add in Donnie Yen, who pulled off some Wing Chun moment too.

At first, I nearly thought it is a stereotype Americans v Asians film, but as the film went on.. the plot twist stumped my thought.

Overall, it was fun. Especially if you are up for action, guns, firepower, loud music with rebellious plot.

Of course, having Vin Dinsel is like a cherry on the cake.

the year of rooster

 

It's a different CNY for me this year.

Firstly, the experience of giving "angpao" instead of receiving. So yea, that's one major difference this year.

Somehow there were some who gave us too. What a blessing. Aww.

The other difference for me is the amount of traveling I did. Usually think going to 4 or 5 houses in one day during CNY is crazy. Going 5 towns within 48 hours is new level of craziness for me. 

Started that I went back to Ipoh to spend 4 days there. Then after first day of CNY dinner, went back to KL. Sunday was at FCC for service then evening, at airport to fly to KK. 

The next day, my in-laws said we are going for a countryside trip to Keningau and Beaufort. So much traveling. Till I am a bit scared of traveling already.

Came back on today's lunchtime. Wife decided to stay for a few days. 

No surprise that there's a lot of eating as well. Poor my soul. I don't know when I wanna start to burn those fats..
